UK couple run into by uninsured driver in Slovakia: can we claim?
We were driving through Slovakia when another vehicle pulled alongside to overtake but then observed that there was another car coming in the opposite direction and slammed into the side of us, Both my husband and I suffered injuries but it turns out the other car was uninsured. We have now flown home but the car is still in Slovakia and the garage refuse to commence repairs without a guarantee of payment. For stupid reasons of false economy we were only third party insured. Is there anything you can do for us?
Yes - we can help.
You need to present a claim to the UK Motor Insurers Bureau and make a compensation claim against an uninsured driver.
Reciprocal arrangements throughout Europe ensure that you will be able to recover your losses and compensation for injuries.
We will contact you to gather further details and then submit your claim on your behalf.
