I live in France but can I insure my motorhome which I keep in France with a UK insurer?
I live permanently in France and I insure my vehicles here normally, but I have a motor home which I only use to go on holiday normally out of France ie to Spain, the UK, Germany etc. Can I insure with a UK company and still have full cover? The the vehicle is always garaged off the public highway when not in use.
A UK insurer would not provide cover.
They would be highly suspicious of the reasons for wanting to insure in a country that is not where the vehicle is kept.
